From Paprika to SIC: an opportunity that began long before the studio

Da Paprika à SIC: uma oportunidade que começou muito antes do estúdio

If the first television appearance was a surprise and the second happened overnight, the trip to SIC had a very different story.

It all started months before, with an initial contact to see if we would be interested in participating. Then came months of that waiting game that frays anyone's nerves… until, one fine day, the call came. After all, it was actually going to happen.

A program about businesses with a face

The concept had everything to do with us: a space dedicated to family businesses and brands that have a person behind them. Businesses where customers don't just know the name of the shop, but recognize who is behind it, often because they follow us every day on social media.

And that is the reality of Paprika. Behind the shop, the website, and the orders is a family, a lot of daily hard work, and a founder who is involved in every stage of the business. Guess who that is?

Since we went in August, right in the middle of the transition from summer to autumn-winter, we took the opportunity to anticipate some of the new season's trends. Talking about fashion and our way of doing business is what I love doing most: communicating has always been natural to me.

This time, as a family

This time I was very well accompanied: I took my husband and our children. The kids loved seeing the other side of television, the cameras, the backstage, the preparation. For them, it was almost like stepping inside the screen.

I was a little sad that João Baião was on vacation, as he is part of all of our childhood memories. But Diana Chaves welcomed us in an extremely kind way.

The nerves remain, the confidence grows

The nerves are still there, and I don't think they will ever disappear. But the confidence grows: we start to understand how everything works and enjoy the moment, instead of just thinking about what we're going to say next.

This program also had an extra ingredient: an audience. Feeling people's reactions and realizing that there are those who identify with our story makes everything feel closer.

Until next time

Every television appearance has been different: one unexpected, another hectic, and this one planned and experienced as a family. But they all take Paprika a little further, to people who perhaps don't know us yet.

And if the nerves remain... so does the desire to return. Until the next adventure. ❤️
